This concern is expressed in many resolutions of the organs of the United Nations and, principally, in the International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries.

The Working Group urged Governments to consider acceding to the International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries as a matter of priority.

In this regard, the Working Group urges States to adopt national legislation to combat mercenarism and to ratify the International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries.

The Working Group is encouraged by the measures undertaken to accede without delay to the International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries, as well as to strengthen the Honduran Criminal Code.
