With a view to streamlining the procedures of the General Assembly and as another cost-saving measure, the General Committee, in connection with the length of statements, may wish to draw the attention of the Assembly, as it did at recent sessions, to rules 72 and 114 of the rules of procedure and paragraph 22 of annex VI thereto for appropriate action in plenary meeting and the Main Committees.
١٩ - وبغية تبسيط إجراءات الجمعية العامة وكتدبير آخر للاقتصاد في التكاليف، قد يود المكتب فيما يتعلق بطول البيانات أن يوجه انتباه الجمعية، كما فعل في الدورات اﻷخيرة، الى المادتين ٧٢ و ١١٤ من النظام الداخلي والى الفقرة ٢٢ من مرفقه السادس بشأن اﻹجراءات المناسبة في الجلسات العامة واللجان الرئيسية.

With a view to streamlining the procedures of the General Assembly and as another cost-saving measure, the General Committee, in connection with the length of statements, may wish to draw the attention of the Assembly, as it did at recent sessions, to rules 72 and 114 of the rules of procedure and paragraph 22 of annex VI thereto for appropriate action in plenary meeting and the Main Committees.
١٩ - وبغية تبسيط إجراءات الجمعية العامة وكتدبير آخر للاقتصاد في التكاليف، قد يود المكتب، فيما يتعلق بطول البيانات، أن يوجه انتباه الجمعية، كما فعل في الدورات اﻷخيرة، إلى المادتين ٧٢ و ١١٤ من النظام الداخلي والفقرة ٢٢ من مرفقه السادس بشأن اﻹجراءات المناسبة في الجلسات العامة واللجان الرئيسية.

The distribution of agenda items between plenary meetings and the Main Committees seems to be to the detriment of discussion of highly relevant topics in plenary meetings.
ويبدو أن توزيع بنود جدول الأعمال بين الجلسات العامة واللجان الرئيسية يضر بمناقشة موضوعات بالغة الأهمية في الجلسات العامة.

Also in this regard, the Bahamas delegation would support the further clustering of related items to decrease the time allocated to individual items in the plenary and Main Committees.
وفي هذا الصدد أيضا، من شأن وفد جزر البهاما أن يؤيد تجميعا إضافيا للبنود المتصلة بنفس الموضوع لتقليل الوقت المخصص لكل بند في الجلسات العامة واللجان الرئيسية.
