20. The Rapporteur made a presentation on the progress that had been made during informal consultations on the negotiation of Executive Committee conclusions, specifically in relation to the draft modalities paper that had been circulated to Member States.

Several delegations also referred to the relevance of Executive Committee conclusions, especially those relating to large-scale influx, in particular Conclusion No. 22 (XXXII).

Recalling that at its 57th session, the Committee called on the Bureau, in consultation with the Office, to continue informal consultations on the nature and value of Executive Committee conclusions on international protection (A/AC.96/1035, paragraph 20(e)),

Recalling its decision taken at the 58th session on the nature, value and use of Executive Committee conclusions on international protection, which called for a review or evaluation on the use of conclusions, and informal consultations on how to improve the identification of themes for conclusions and the process of preparing, drafting and finalizing conclusions (A/AC.96/1048, para. 15),

2. The Office continued to enhance its operational response to statelessness situations, addressing areas highlighted by a number of Executive Committee conclusions on International Protection related to statelessness, including No. 106 (LVII) on the Identification, Prevention and Reduction of Statelessness and Protection of Stateless Persons adopted in 2006.
2- واصلت المفوضية تحسين استجابتها التنفيذية إزاء حالات انعدام الجنسية عن طريق معالجة مجالات سلط الضوء عليها عدد من استنتاجات اللجنة التنفيذية بشأن الحماية الدولية المتعلقة بانعدام الجنسية، بما في ذلك الاستنتاج رقم 106(د-57) المتعلق بتحديد حالات انعدام الجنسية ومنعها والحد منها وحماية عديمي الجنسية() الذي اعتُمد في عام 2006.

(e) Calls on the Bureau, in consultation with the Office, to continue informal consultations on the nature and value of Executive Committee conclusions on international protection, including to review the process leading to their adoption and the effectiveness of this process with regard to contributions by Standing Committee Observers, so that the Committee may take a decision on the question at its fifty-eighth session;
(هـ) تدعو المكتب، بالتشاور مع المفوضية، إلى مواصلة المشاورات غير الرسمية المتعلقة بطبيعة وقيمة استنتاجات اللجنة التنفيذية بشأن الحماية الدولية، بما في ذلك استعراض العملية المؤدية إلى اعتمادها وفعالية هذه العملية فيما يتعلق بمساهمات الوفود التي تحضر اجتماعات اللجنة الدائمة بصفة مراقب، حتى تتخذ اللجنة مقرراً بشأن هذه المسألة في دورتها الثامنة والخمسين؛
