68. In this connection, I have decided to appoint Alan Doss as Deputy Special Representative in Sierra Leone, who would assume particular responsibilities for the coordination of the efforts of the international community to support and encourage the Government's efforts to extend and stabilize its authority throughout the country, including the preparation and conduct of elections in due course.
