30. Some treaty body monitoring mechanisms have applied existing provisions to protect the rights of older persons, notably the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, by providing interpretative guidance on existing norms.
30 - وتطبق بعض آليات رصد الهيئات التعاهدية الأحكام الحالية لحماية حقوق المسنين، ولا سيما لجنة الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية واللجنة المعنية بالقضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة، عن طريق تقديم توجيهات تفسيرية بشأن القواعد الموجودة حاليا.

Recommends that States parties to existing international instruments incorporate the situation of older persons more explicitly into their reports, and encourages treaty body monitoring mechanisms and special procedure mandate holders, in accordance with their mandates, to pay more attention to the situation of older persons in their dialogue with Member States, in their consideration of the reports or in their country missions;
