٩ - يدعو الدول اﻷعضاء والمنظمات اﻹقليمية إلى تقديم المساعدة إلى آلية منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية لمنع النزاعات وإدارتها وحلها لتعزيز قدرتها على توقع النزاعات ومنع حدوثها؛

The most prominent and recent of these initiatives are the OAU Mechanism for Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution and the Cairo Agenda for Action: Relaunching Africa’s Socio-economic Development.
وآخر هذه المبادرات وأبرزها آلية منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية لمنع المنازعات وإدارتها وحلها، وبرنامج عمل القاهرة: إنعاش التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية ﻷفريقيا.

The donation by UNDP of $3 million towards capacity-building in the OAU Mechanism for Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution will benefit the organization, as it will strengthen its financial capacity to carry out the earmarked projects in this area.
أما إسهام برنامج اﻷمــم المتحدة اﻹنمائي بمبلغ ٣ مليارات من الدولارات في بناء القدرات في آلية منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية لمنع المنازعات وإدارتها وتسويتها، فإن المنظمة ستستفيد منه ﻷنــه يعزز قدرتها المالية على تنفيذ مشاريعها المزمعــة في هذا المجال.

٩ - يدعو الدول اﻷعضاء والمنظمات اﻹقليمية إلى تقديم المساعدة إلى آلية منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية لمنع النزاعات وإدارتها وحلها لتعزيز قدرتها على توقع النزاعات ومنع حدوثها؛

" (i) To follow closely the deliberations of the OAU Mechanism for the Prevention, Management and Resolution of Conflicts and advise Headquarters of political initiatives of concern to the United Nations discussed by the Mechanism;

٩ - حسنت مؤخرا آلية منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية لمنع المنازعات وإدارتها وتسويتها من قدرتها اﻵلية على توفير المعلومات كما تنشئ حاليا قاعدة بيانات للمساعدة في اﻹنذار المبكر.

Nepal also appreciates the role played by the OAU in Burundi in terms of conflict prevention, management and resolution. We hope that the OAU Mechanism will be applied effectively to other troubled parts of the region such as Somalia, Angola and Liberia, in order to restore normalcy.
وتقدر نيبال ايضا الدور الذي قامت به منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية فيما يتعلق بمنع وإدارة وحل الصراع.ونأمل أن تطبق آلية منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية على نحو فعال في أجزاء مضطربة أخرى من المنطقة مثل الصومال وأنغولا وليبريا، من أجل استعادة الحياة الطبيعية.

17. During the 1990s, regional initiatives such as the OAU Mechanism for the Prevention, Management and Resolution of Conflicts have contributed to bringing peace in such countries as Angola, Comoros, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Mozambique, and to some extent in Burundi and Rwanda.
