10. The meeting also reviewed the Nouakchott Process, which had been initiated by the African Union in 2013 and formed a part of the security pillar of the African Union strategy for the Sahel region.
١٠ - واطلع المشاركون في الاجتماع أيضا على عملية نواكشوط التي أطلقها الاتحاد الأفريقي في عام 2013 والتي تدخل في إطار الشق الأمني من استراتيجية الاتحاد الأفريقي من أجل منطقة الساحل.

I have the honour to transmit herewith the conclusions of the third ministerial meeting of the coordination platform on strategies for the Sahel (see annex), which was held in Bamako on 18 November 2014.
يشرفني أن أحيل إليكم طيه الاستنتاجات التي خلص إليها الاجتماع الوزاري الثالث للمنبر المعني بتنسيق الاستراتيجيات من أجل منطقة الساحل (انظر المرفق) الذي عُقد بباماكو في 18 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2014.

On instructions from my Government, I have the honour to transmit herewith, for information, the conclusions of the second ministerial meeting of the coordination platform on strategies for the Sahel, held in Bamako on 16 May 2014 (see enclosure).
بناء على تعليمات من حكومتي، أتشرف بأن أحيل إليكم طيه، للعلم، الاستنتاجات التي خلص إليها الاجتماع الوزاري الثاني للمنبر المعني بتنسيق الاستراتيجيات من أجل منطقة الساحل الذي عقد بباماكو في 16 أيار/مايو 2014 (انظر الضميمة).

4. The meeting provided an opportunity for the participants to review developments in the Sahel region since the first meeting of the platform, held in Bamako on 5 November 2013, and to hold fruitful discussions on the various strategies and initiatives for the Sahel.
٤ - وأتاح الاجتماع فرصة للمشاركين لاستعراض التطورات التي شهدتها منطقة الساحل منذ الاجتماع الأول للمنبر الذي عقد بباماكو في 5 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2013، ولإجراء مناقشات مثمرة بشأن العديد من الاستراتيجيات والمبادرات التي تضطلع بها مختلف المنظمات الإقليمية والدولية من أجل منطقة الساحل.

15. The participants commended the technical secretariat for its mapping work and requested it to compile, for introduction and discussion at the forthcoming meeting of the platform, a detailed comparative analysis of gaps and overlaps in regional and international strategies for the Sahel.
١٥ - وأشاد المشاركون بأعمال رسم الخرائط التي اضطلعت بها الأمانة الفنية، وطلبوا إليها أن تعد تحليلا مقارنا تفصيليا يشمل أوجه القصور في مختلف المبادرات والاستراتيجيات الإقليمية والدولية من أجل منطقة الساحل وأوجه التداخل فيما بينها، بغية عرضها ومناقشتها في الاجتماع المقبل للمنبر.

1. The third ministerial meeting of the coordination platform on strategies for the Sahel was held on 18 November 2014 at the Bamako International Conference Centre and was chaired by His Excellency Mr. Abdoulaye Diop, Minister for Foreign Affairs, African Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Mali, which currently holds the chairmanship of the Platform.
١ - دار الاجتماع الوزاري الثالث للمنبر المعني بتنسيق الاستراتيجيات من أجل منطقة الساحل في 18 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2014، في المركز الدولي للمؤتمرات بباماكو. وترأس هذا الاجتماع السيد عبد الله ديوب، وزير الخارجية والتكامل الأفريقي والتعاون الدولي في جمهورية مالي، التي تتولى حاليا رئاسة المنبر.

I have the honour to transmit herewith a letter dated 27 May 2014 from the Permanent Representative of Mali to the United Nations transmitting the conclusions of the second ministerial meeting of the coordination platform for the Sahel (see annex), which was held on 16 May 2014 in Bamako.
أتشرف بأن أحيل طيه رسالة مؤرخة 27 أيار/مايو 2014 موجهة من الممثل الدائم لمالي لدى الأمم المتحدة، يحيل طيها الاستنتاجات التي خلص إليها الاجتماع الوزاري الثاني للمنبر المعني بالتنسيق من أجل منطقة الساحل (انظر المرفق) الذي عقد بباماكو في 16 أيار/ مايو 2014.

Subsequently, in its resolution 2071 (2012), the Security Council welcomed the appointment of Mr. Prodi to mobilize international efforts, formulate and coordinate the implementation of the United Nations integrated regional strategy for the Sahel, as well as contribute to defining the parameters of a comprehensive solution to the crisis in Mali.
وعليه، رحّب مجلس الأمن، في قراره (2012) 2071 بتعيين السيد برودي من أجل حشد الجهود الدولية، ووضع استراتيجية الأمم المتحدة الإقليمية المتكاملة من أجل منطقة الساحل وتنسيق تنفيذها، والمشاركة في تحديد معالم حل شامل للأزمة في مالي.
