5. In its resolution 2000/14 on racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, the Commission on Human Rights welcomed the offer by South Africa to host the Conference in 2001.
5 - رحبت لجنة حقوق الإنسان، في قرارها 2000/14 بشأن العنصريـــة والتمييز العنصــري وكراهيــــة الأجانــب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، بالعرض المقدم من جنوب أفريقيا لاستضافة المؤتمر في عام 2001.

His Government welcomed the offer by South Africa to host the Conference, urged that the necessary resources be allocated for convening it and trusted that the Conference would consider both the progress made against racism and the obstacles remaining to its eradication, as well as what measures to take at the national, regional and international levels.

III. Commission on Human Rights 40. At its fifty-sixth session, the Commission on Human Rights, in resolution 2000/14, welcomed the offer by South Africa to host the World Conference against Racism in 2001.
40 - رحبت لجنة حقوق الإنسان في القرار 2000/14 الذي اتخذته اللجنة في دورتها السادسة والخمسين بالعرض الذي قدمته جنوب أفريقيا لاستضافة المؤتمر العالمي لمكافحة العنصرية في عام 2001.

6. The Preparatory Committee adopted, without a vote, a proposal to accept the invitation of the Government of South Africa to host the World Conference and a proposal to hold the World Conference from 31 August to 7 September 2001.
6 - واعتمدت اللجنة التحضيرية، بدون تصويت، اقتراحا يدعو إلى قبول الدعوة الموجهة من حكومة جنوب أفريقيا لاستضافة المؤتمر العالمي، وآخر يدعو إلى عقد المؤتمر خلال الفترة من 31 آب/أغسطس إلى 7 أيلول/سبتمبر 2001.

1. Decides to organize the ten-year review of progress achieved in the implementation of the outcome of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in 2002 at the summit level to reinvigorate the global commitment to sustainable development, and accepts with gratitude the generous offer of the Government of South Africa to host the summit;
1 - تقرر تنظيم الاستعراض العشري للتقدم المحرز في تنفيذ نتائج مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة المعني بالبيئة والتنمية في عام 2002 على مستوى مؤتمر القمة بغية توطيد الالتزام العالمي بالتنمية المستدامة، وتقبل بامتنان العرض السخي المقدم من حكومة جنوب أفريقيا لاستضافة مؤتمر القمة؛

21. At the 2nd meeting, the Preparatory Committee considered and adopted, without a vote, the proposal to accept the invitation of the Government of South Africa to host the World Conference and the proposal to hold the World Conference from 31 August to 7 September 2001.
21- وفي الجلسة الثانية بحثت اللجنة التحضيرية واعتمدت بدون تصويت الاقتراح الداعي إلى قبول الدعوة التي قدمتها حكومة جنوب أفريقيا لاستضافة المؤتمر العالمي والاقتراح الداعي إلى عقد هذا المؤتمر من 31 آب/أغسطس إلى 7 أيلول/سبتمبر 2001.

26. At the 1st meeting, on 29 November, the President recalled that the COP, by its decision 9/CP.14, had accepted the offer of the Government of South Africa to host COP 17 and CMP 7.

(v) The General Assembly, in its resolution 50/98 of 20 December 1995, welcomed with appreciation the generous offer made by the Government of South Africa to host the ninth session of the Conference and accordingly decided to convene the session at Midrand, Gauteng Province, South Africa, from 27 April to 11 May 1996, to be preceded by a one-day meeting of senior officials at the same place on 26 April 1996.
`٥` وقد رحبت الجمعية العامة مع التقدير، في قرارها ٠٥/٨٩ المؤرخ في ٠٢ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٥٩٩١، بالعرض الكريم الذي قدمته حكومة جنوب أفريقيا لاستضافة الدورة التاسعة للمؤتمر، وقررت تبعاً لذلك أن تعقد الدورة في ميدراند بمقاطعة غوتنغ بجنوب أفريقيا في الفترة من ٧٢ نيسان/أبريل الى ١١ أيار/مايو ٦٩٩١، على أن يسبقها اجتماع لمدة يوم واحد لكبار الموظفين يُعقد في نفس المكان في ٦٢ نيسان/أبريل ٦٩٩١.

The President recalled that the COP, by its decision 9/CP.14, accepted the offer by the Government of South Africa to host COP 17 and CMP 7, subject to confirmation by the Bureau that all logistical, technical and financial elements for hosting the sessions are available, in conformity with General Assembly resolution 40/243.
26- وأشارت الرئيسة إلى أن مؤتمر الأطراف قبل، بمقرره 9/م أ-14، العرض الذي تقدمت به حكومة جنوب أفريقيا لاستضافة الدورة السابعة عشرة لمؤتمر الأطراف والدورة السابعة لمؤتمر الأطراف/اجتماع الأطراف، وذلك رهناً بتأكيد المكتب لتوافر جميع العناصر اللوجيستية والتقنية والمالية لاستضافة الدورتين، وفقاً لقرار الجمعية العامة 40/243.
