This report is a follow-up to the decision of the Trade and Development Board at its forty-ninth session requesting that the UNCTAD secretariat continue to report to the Board's regular sessions on UNCTAD's activities in favour of least developed countries (LDCs) in implementing the Programme of Action for LDCs for the current decade.

79. The Trade and Development Board had at its forty-ninth session conducted an in-depth review of UNCTAD activities in favour of the least developed countries, including the orientation of its future work, and it had encouraged the secretariat to pursue its activities.
