The Commission on Human Rights, at its fiftieth session, in resolution 1994/91 of 9 March 1994, called upon all States that had not done so to sign, ratify or accede to the Convention as a matter of priority, and requested the Secretary-General to continue to provide all facilities and assistance necessary with a view to promoting its universal ratification by 1995.
