Adopting those same methods in order not to forget, we should continue to be reminded of them and to incorporate and implement them. Those methods are tremendously important because of the realistic and logical approach used to look at the priorities of disarmament in order to attain complete and full disarmament with respect to all forms of weapons including nuclear weapons, other weapons of mass destruction and conventional weapons.
وأقر بذلك نهج ينبغي ألا ننساه، وأن نواصل التذكير به بقــــوة، وأن نعمل على ترسيخه وتنفيذه لما يقتضيه من أهمية بالغة وواقعية ومنطقية في تناول أولويات نزع السلاح بهدف الوصول إلى نزع شامل وتام لكافة أنواع الأسلحة، التي تمثلت في الأسلحة النووية ثم أسلحة الدمار الشامل الأخرى والأسلحة التقليدية.

In this context, it is also important to note that in recent years certain Powers and their allies have launched a systematic campaign in various United Nations forums to replace the priorities of disarmament and security as envisaged in the Final Document of the First Special Session of the General Assembly Devoted to Disarmament, of 1978.
وفي هذا السياق، من المهم أيضا أن نلاحظ أن دولا معينة ودولا متحالفة معها تشن في اﻵونة اﻷخيرة حملة منتظمة في مختلف محافل اﻷمم المتحدة ﻹحلال أولويات أخرى محل أولويات نزع السلاح واﻷمن المتوخاة في الوثيقة الختامية للدورة الاستثنائية اﻷولى للجمعية العامة المكرسة لنزع السلاح المعقودة في عام ١٩٧٨.

The priorities of disarmament agreed upon by the international community in the Final Document of SSOD-I must not be forgotten. Indeed they must be strongly recalled. There is a need to consolidate and implement them because of their great importance in achieving arms control and disarmament.
إن أولويات نزع السلاح التي أقرها المجتمع الدولي في الوثيقة الختامية الصادرة عن الدورة الاستثنائية الأولى للجمعيـــة العامــــة المكرسة لنــــزع السلاح تعتبر نهجا ينبغي ألا ننساه، وأن نعيد التذكير به بقوة، والعمل على ترسيخه وتطبيقه لما يكتسيه من أهمية بالغة في الحد من التسلح وتحقيق نزع السلاح بالشكل المطلوب.

Taking into account the priorities in disarmament set out in the Final Document, the subject of conventional disarmament should continue to be actively pursued in the United Nations as one significant contribution to the endeavours of the international community towards general and complete disarmament under effective international control.
