Requests the Secretariat to develop draft terms of reference for work on modalities on the needs assessment for Parties that are developing countries or countries with economies in transition to implement the provisions of the Convention over the period 2006 - 2010 for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its second meeting.
يطلب إلى الأمانة أن تعد مشروع اختصاصات للعمل بشأن طرائق لتقييم احتياجات الأطراف التي هي بلدان نامية أو بلدان تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقال لتنفيذ أحكام الاتفاقية خلال الفترة 2006 - 2010 لكي ينظر فيه مؤتمر الأطراف في اجتماعه الثاني.

2. Adopts the revised terms of reference for work on the assessment of funding needs for Parties that are developing countries or countries with economies in transition to implement the Convention over the period 2010 - 2014 set forth in the annex to the present decision;

Only ten countries or regional economic integration organizations (of which six are developing countries or countries with economies in transition) represent 91.5 per cent of the total mercury emissions from fossil fuel combustion. (See also section (c) below).
