The regional action programme includes measures relating to combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought in the following priority areas, as appropriate:
يشمل برنامج العمل الاقليمي تدابير تتعلق بمكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف في المجالات التالية ذات اﻷولوية، كلما كان ذلك مناسبا:

(i) The transfer, acquisition, adaptation and development of environmentally sound, economically viable and socially acceptable technologies, knowledge, know-how and practices relevant to combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought in affected developing countries, in conformity with the Convention.
' ١ ' نقل واحتياز وتطويع وتطوير التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا والصالحة اقتصاديا والمقبولة اجتماعيا والمناسبة لمكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف في البلدان النامية المتأثرة، وفقا للاتفاقية؛

57. The priority actions planned are designed to draw greater benefit from advanced technologies for combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought.

9. The Conference of the Parties also appreciated the support provided by several developed country Parties for activities related to combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought.

This Annex applies to Africa, in relation to each Party and in conformity with the Convention, in particular its article 7, for the purpose of combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought in its arid, semi-arid and dry sub-humid areas.
ينطبق هذا المرفق على افريقيا، بالنسبة لكل طرف وبما يتفق مع الاتفاقية، وبخاصة المادة ٧ منها، وذلك لغرض مكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف في مناطقها القاحلة وشبه القاحلة والجافة شبه الرطبة.

The regional action programme includes measures relating to combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought in the following priority areas, as appropriate:

- Facilitate the financing of information exchange on best practices utilized in combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought at the local level in affected developing country Parties;
- تيسير تمويل تبادل المعلومات عن أفضل الممارسات المستخدمة في مكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف على المستوى المحلي في البلدان النامية الأطراف المتأثرة؛

(f) Identify and then provide information and advice on financing sources for the transfer, acquisition, adaptation and development of environmentally sound, economically viable and socially acceptable technologies relevant to combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought.
)و( تعيين مصادر التمويل لنقل واحتياز وتطويع وتطوير التكنولوجيات المناسبة بيئيا والصالحة اقتصاديا والمقبولة اجتماعيا لمكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف. ثم توفير المعلومات وإسداء النصح بشأنها.

(h) Facilitate the financing of information exchange on best practices utilized in combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought at the local level in affected developing country Parties.

(i) The transfer, acquisition, adaptation and development of environmentally sound, economically viable and socially acceptable technologies, knowledge, know-how and practices relevant to combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought in affected developing countries, in conformity with the Convention.
' ١ ' نقل واحتياز وتطويع وتطوير التكنولوجيات والمعارف والدراية والممارسات السليمة بيئيا والصالحة اقتصاديا والمقبولة اجتماعيا والمناسبة لمكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف في البلدان النامية المتأثرة، وفقا للاتفاقية؛

(c) Promote processes and activities relating to combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought within the arid, semi-arid and dry sub-humid areas of Africa.
)ج( النهوض بالعمليات واﻷنشطة المتعلقة بمكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف في المناطق القاحلة وشبه القاحلة والجافة شبه الرطبة في افريقيا.

(c) Assist them in strengthening capacities to enable them to improve their institutional frameworks, as well as their scientific and technical capabilities, information collection and analysis, and research and development for the purpose of combating desertification and/or mitigating the effects of drought.
)ج( مساعدتها على تقوية قدراتها لتمكينها من تحسين أطرها المؤسسية، فضلا عن قدراتها العلمية والتقنية، وقدرات جمع وتحليل المعلومات، والبحث والتطوير لغرض مكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف.
