(e) before the prisoner is discharged from prison. "

19. GIECPC noted that in the penal system, corporal punishment is also lawful as a sentence for crime for males as according to article 71 of the Magistrate's Courts Act provides for boys aged 8-15 to be " privately whipped " at a police station, up to 12 strokes in place of or in addition to any other punishment).
19- ولاحظت المبادرة العالمية أن النظام الجنائي يجيز كذلك فرض العقاب البدني على الجرائم التي يرتكبها الذكور بموجب المادة 71 من قانون محاكم الصلح التي تنص على فرض عقوبة " الجلد في إطار خاص " في مخفر الشرطة على الفتيان المتراوحة أعمارهم بين 8 أعوام و15 عاماً، على ألا يتعدى ذلك 12 جلدة إضافة إلى أي عقوبة أخرى أو بدلاً منها.

136. Article 152 also stipulates that: " Subject to the provisions of article 35 of this Act, neither the penalty of dismissal nor any other penalty may be applied in respect of workers' representatives in tradeunion committees owing to their pursuit of their activity in accordance with this Act and the Penal Code and the implementing rules and regulations of each. "

The Labour Code furthermore provides, in article 152, that: " No one may impose a punishment of dismissal or any other penalty on a worker's representative who is a member of a trade union committee for pursuing trade union activities in accordance with this Code, the Trade Unions Act, and their implementing regulations. "
كما تضمن قانون العمل النص على ذلك في المـادة 152 التي تنص على أنه " ... لا يجوز تطبيق عقوبة الفصل أو أي عقوبة أخرى بحق ممثلي العمال في اللجان النقابية بسبب ممارستهم لنشاطهم النقابي وفقاً لهذا القانون وقانون تنظيم النقابات والنظم واللوائح المنفذة لهما " .

54. In the exercise of their powers, Courts of Law have power to decide whether a conviction on the above crimes carries the maximum penalty of death or any other sentence.
