According to General Conference resolution GC.7/Res.2 of 4 December 1997, the open-ended discussion group was requested to “examine the various options contained in document IDB.18/18, as well as any other proposals coming from Member States, and to make concrete recommendations to the Industrial Development Board at its nineteenth session”.
