In that context, several delegations stressed the need for the draft convention to contain a clear definition of terrorism that would distinguish between acts of terrorism and the legitimate struggle of peoples under foreign occupation and colonial or alien domination in the exercise of their right to self-determination, as endorsed in General Assembly resolution 46/51 and other related United Nations documents.
وفي هذا السياق، شددت عدة وفود على ضرورة أن يتضمن مشروع الاتفاقية تعريفا واضحا للإرهاب يفرّق بين أعمال الإرهاب والنضال المشروع للشعوب التي ترزح تحت نير الاحتلال الخارجي والسيطرة الاستعمارية أو الأجنبية في إطار ممارسة حقها في تقرير المصير على نحو ما تؤيده الجمعية العامة في قرارها 46/51 وسائر وثائق الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة بالموضوع.

(d) To end violations of the human rights of women and to devote particular attention to appropriate measures modifying or abolishing existing laws, regulations, customs and practices that discriminate against women, including in the exercise of their right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion or belief, and to foster practical ways to ensure equality between men and women;
(د) أن تضع حدا لانتهاكات حقوق الإنسان للمرأة وأن تولي اهتماما خاصا لإلغاء أو تعديل التشريعات والأنظمة والأعراف والممارسات القائمة التي تنطوي على تمييز ضد المرأة، بما في ذلك في إطار ممارسة حقها في حرية الفكر والضمير والدين أو المعتقد، وأن تدعم السبل العملية لكفالة المساواة بين الرجل والمرأة؛
