In paragraph 5 of its decision 22/23 I of 7 February 2003, The Governing Council requested the Executive Director to make proposals to the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum at its twenty-third session for the review, and, if possible, reduction, of the number of trust funds in support of the work programme, in order to improve the efficiency of the United Nations Environment Programme.
