40. The report will endeavour to provide Member States with a comprehensive overview of the United Nations system staff medical coverage, a comparison of it with the best practices in non-United Nations entities, and a number of viable options for more effectively controlling the concomitant budgetary outlays without negatively affecting this important element of the overall conditions of service in the United Nations system.
