The worst Forms of Child Labour Convention (No. 182) was applied to HKSAR with effect from 8 August 2002. The Convention will come into force in HKSAR on 8 August 2003.

The worst Forms of Child Labour Convention (No. 182) had been ratified by 171 States and the Minimum Age Convention (No. 138) by 154 States.

Switzerland has ratified ILO Conventions Nos. 138 (Minimum Age Convention) and 182 (worst Forms of Child Labour Convention), and financially supports the ILO International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour in Pakistan.
وقد صدّقت سويسرا على اتفاقيتي منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 138 (اتفاقية الحد الأدنى لسن العمل) ورقم 182 (اتفاقية أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال) وتقدم الدعم المالي للبرنامج الدولي لمنع عمل الأطفال التابع لمنظمة العمل الدولية في باكستان.

In addition, ILO Convention No. 138 (Minimum Age Convention) and Convention No. 182 (worst Forms of Child Labour Convention) set parameters for distinguishing child labour that needs abolition, on the one hand, and acceptable work done by children, including such activities that allow indigenous children to acquire livelihood skills, identity and culture, on the other.

In 2010, the Committee of Experts, with reference to the Children and Young Persons Act and the Penal Code of Singapore, stated that provisions therein did not cover the full range of prohibitions contemplated in Article 3(b) of the worst Forms of Child Labour Convention (No. 182), namely, the use, procuring or offering of a child under 18 years for the production of pornography or for pornographic performances.
25- وفي عام 2010، قالت لجنة الخبراء، بالإشارة إلى قانون الأطفال واليافعين وقانون عقوبات سنغافورة، إن الأحكام الواردة فيهما لا تشمل الطيف الكامل من أوجه المنع المقصودة في المادة 3(ب) من اتفاقية أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال (رقم 182)، أي استخدام طفل دون سن الثامنة عشرة أو القوادة له أو عرضه لإنتاج مواد إباحية أو لأداء أدوار في مواد إباحية.
