55. Forests will feature more prominently in the work of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
55 - وستحتل الغابات مكانة أبرز ضمن أعمال اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية المتعلقة بتغيّر المناخ.

We have made the utmost effort to implement the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol by promoting Clean Development Mechanism projects and implementing our National Adaptation Programme of Action on climate change.

An initiative was launched jointly between the Strategy, the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Least Developed Countries Expert Group to build national capacity of least developed countries which had prioritized the development of early warning systems in their climate change national adaptation programmes of action.

(c) Number of technical cooperation activities on energy efficiency developed with assistance of the subprogramme Countries with economies in transition face energy deficiency and fuel poverty arising from economic transition, and they need to meet international treaty obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and ECE.
تواجه البلدان التي تمر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة انتقالية نقصاً في الطاقة وفقراً في الوقود من جراء الانتقال الاقتصادي، وهي بحاجة إلى الوفاء بالالتزامات التعاهدية الدولية في إطار اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية المتعلقة بتغيّر المناخ واللجنة الاقتصادية لأوروبا.

Countries and other stakeholders can immediately take advantage of carbon-based PES systems, using the growing voluntary market, while the proposed REDD mechanism under the UNFCCC regime is developed.
