5- فُتح باب التوقيع على اتفاقية الضمانات الدولية على المعدات المنقولة، في كيب تاون، جنوب أفريقيا، في 16 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2001، وبدأ سريان مفعولها في 1 نيسان/ أبريل 2004، على أن يقتصر ذلك بالتحديد على فئة من المعدات التي ينطبق عليها بروتوكول.

With regard to the work of the Legal Subcommittee, he said that the Subcommittee had continued its intense and in-depth consideration of the agenda item entitled " Consideration of the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the preliminary draft Protocol on Matters Specific to Space Assets " .
