ويطلب مشروع القرار إلى مؤتمر نزع السلاح أن يبدأ بإجراء مفاوضات للتوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن إبرام اتفاقية دولية تحظر استعمال الأسلحة النووية أو التهديد باستعمالها.

In operative paragraph 1 the General Assembly would reiterate the request to the Conference on Disarmament to commence negotiations, on a priority basis, to reach an agreement on an international convention prohibiting the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons under any circumstances, taking as a possible basis the annexed draft convention.
وفي الفقرة ١ من المنطوق تكرر الجمعية العامة طلبها إلى مؤتمر نزع السلاح بأن يبدأ في إجراء مفاوضات، على أساس اﻷولوية بغية التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن إبرام اتفاقية دولية تحظر استعمال اﻷسلحة النووية أو التهديد باستعمالها في أي ظرف من الظروف متخذا كأساس ممكن لذلك مشروع الاتفاقية المرفق.
