ينبغي أن تحدد بوضوح المسؤولية الادارية والوظيفية لمكتبة مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في جنيف، وذلك بالنظر الى العملية الجارية المتمثلة في تنظيم وظائف اﻷمانة وعملياتها التي أسفرت، بوجه خاص عن ادماج مكتب خدمة المؤتمرات، الذي تعد مكتبة اﻷمم المتحدة جزءا منه، في ادارة الشؤون الادارية والتنظيميــة.

To achieve this target, during the last few weeks, the Department of Administration and Management has made a determined and concerted effort, in cooperation with the Field Operations Division and the Executive Offices, to assign staff to cleanse the existing imperfect personnel data.

As part of the overall restructuring of the Secretariat, in 1992 the Department of Conference Services became part of the Department of Administration and Management and was designated an Office.
٥٢ هاء - ٢٤ وكجزء من عملية إعادة التشكيل الشاملة لﻷمانة العامة، أصبحت ادارة شؤون المؤتمرات جزءا من ادارة الشؤون الادارية والتنظيمية وأطلق عليها اسم مكتب.

34. Other elements of the restructuring of the Department of Administration and Management involve the internal transfer of the Field Operations Division from the Office of General Services to the Office of the Under-Secretary-General for Administration and Management.
٣٤ - ومن جملة العوامل اﻷخرى التي تنطوي عليها عملية اعادة تشكيل ادارة الشؤون الادارية والتنظيمية النقل الداخلي لشعبة العمليات الميدانية من مكتب الخدمات العامة الى مكتب وكيل اﻷمين العام للشؤون الادارية والتنظيمية.

12. As further indicated in document A/C.5/47/88, the Secretary-General has established a task force, under the chairmanship of the Under-Secretary-General for DDSMS and with participation from the Department of Administration and Management, the Executive Office of the Secretary-General, the Office of Legal Affairs, and UNDP, including OPS.

48. The Office of the Security Coordinator in the Department of Administration and Management is staffed by two Professional (1 P-5 and 1 P-3) and two General Service staff members, whose posts are funded on a cost-shared basis by the organizations of the United Nations system (see annex V, table 5).

34. Under general policy guidelines and by means of voluminous documentation, heads of departments or offices prepare and submit programme budget proposals for consideration by the Department of Administration and Management, which then develops the proposed programme budget of the Secretary-General, under his guidance and that of a senior advisory board appointed to assist him in budgetary matters.
٣٤ - يقوم رؤساء الادارات أو المكاتب، بموجب المبادئ التوجيهية للسياسة العامة وعن طريق وثائق ضخمة، باعداد مقترحات الميزانية البرنامجية وتقديمها لكي تنظر فيها ادارة الشؤون الادارية والتنظيمية، التي تقوم عندئذ بتطوير اقتراحات الميزانية البرنامجية لﻷمين العام، وذلك تحت اشرافه واشراف مجلس استشاري أعلى يعين لمساعدته في شؤون الميزانية.

The Secretary-General has asked his Special Adviser, Mr. Ismat Kittani, to coordinate the necessary consultations on this matter within the Secretariat, including with the Heads of the three entities mentioned in the Committee's conclusions (the Department for Policy Coordination and Sustainable Development, UNDP and UNEP), as well as with the Department of Administration and Management.
