9. Invites the Commission on Human Rights to request the Special Rapporteur to continue investigation into the rape and abuse of women and children in the areas of armed conflict in the former Yugoslavia, in particular in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
٩ - تدعـو لجنــة حقــوق الانسان إلــى أن تطلب إلى المقرر الخاص أن يواصــل تحقيقــه في اغتصاب النساء واﻷطفال وامتهانهم في مناطق النزاع المسلح في يوغوسلافيا السابقة ولا سيما في البوسنة والهرسك؛

1. Strongly condemns the continuing abhorrent practice of rape and abuse of women and children in the areas of armed conflict in the former Yugoslavia, which constitutes a war crime;
١ - تدين بقوة استمرار الممارسة البشعة المتمثلة في اغتصاب النساء واﻷطفال وامتهانهم في مناطق النزاع المسلح في يوغوسلافيا السابقة، مما يشكل جريمة من جرائم الحرب؛

1. At its forty-ninth session, the General Assembly adopted resolution 49/205 dated 23 December 1994 entitled " Rape and abuse of women in the areas of armed conflict in the former Yugoslavia " , in which it strongly condemned the continuing abhorrent practice of rape and abuse of women and children in the former Yugoslavia.
١ - اعتمدت الجمعية العامة، في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين، القرار ٩٤/٢٠٥ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٤ المعنون " اغتصاب النساء وامتهانهن في مناطق النزاع المسلح في يوغوسلافيا السابقة " ، أدانت فيه بقوة استمرار الممارسة البشعة المتمثلة في اغتصاب النساء واﻷطفال وامتهانهم في يوغوسلافيا السابقة.

2. In that resolution, the General Assembly strongly condemned the abhorrent practice of rape and abuse of women and children in the area of armed conflict in the former Yugoslavia and reaffirmed that rape in the conduct of armed conflict constituted a war crime and that under certain circumstances it constituted a crime against humanity and an act of genocide as defined in the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
٢ - وفي ذلك القرار، أدانت الجمعية العامة الممارسة البشعة المتمثلة في اغتصاب النساء واﻷطفال وامتهانهم في مناطق النزاع المسلح في يوغوسلافيا السابقة وأكدت من جديد أن ارتكاب الاغتصاب في أثناء المنازعات المسلحة يمثل جريمة من جرائم الحرب ويُعد في بعض الظروف جريمة ضد اﻹنسانية وعملا من أعمال اﻹبادة الجماعية بالمعنى الوارد في اتفاقية منع جريمة اﻹبادة الجماعية والمعاقبة عليها.

" 9. Requests the Special Rapporteur to pursue a specific investigation into the rape and abuse of women and children in the former Yugoslavia, including the dispatch of a qualified team of experts, to coordinate with the relevant thematic special rapporteurs of the Commission on Human Rights, with the mission dispatched by the European Council and with any other missions and to present a further report to the Commission;
" ٩ - تطلب الى المقرر الخاص مواصلة إجراء تحقيق محدد في اغتصاب النساء واﻷطفال وامتهانهم في يوغوسلافيا السابقة، بما في ذلك إيفاد فريق مؤهل من الخبراء، والتنسيق مع مقرري لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان الخاصين المعنيين بمواضيع محددة ومع البعثة التي أوفدها المجلس اﻷوروبي ومع أي بعثات أخرى، وتقديم تقرير لاحق الى اللجنة؛

At the same session, the General Assembly strongly condemned the abhorrent practice of rape and abuse of women and children in the areas of armed conflict in the former Yugoslavia, which constituted a war crime; requested the Secretary-General to submit a report on the implementation of the resolution to the Assembly, and decided to continue the consideration of the question at its fiftieth session (resolution 49/205).
وفي الدورة ذاتها، أدانت الجمعية العامة بقوة الممارسة البشعة المتمثلة في اغتصاب النساء واﻷطفال وامتهانهم في مناطق النزاع المسلح في يوغوسلافيا السابقة، مما يشكل جريمة من جرائم الحرب؛ وطلبت الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم الى الجمعية تقريرا عن تنفيذ هذا القرار؛ وقررت مواصلة النظر في هذه المسألة في دورتها الخمسين )القرار ٩٤/٥٠٢(.
