The Asian Disaster Reduction Centre and other partners promote a comprehensive disaster risk management approach and provide practical tools, such as the hazard-mapping methodology, to assist country capacity for assessing risk and vulnerability to disasters.

During the Fourth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, staff of the UN-SPIDER programme and the Asian Disaster Reduction Center jointly organized an expert meeting on the incorporation of space-based information and technology in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, which brought together leading experts from the region.
22- وفي أثناء المؤتمر الوزاري الآسيوي الرابع بشأن الحد من خطر الكوارث، شارك موظفون من برنامج سبايدر ومن المركز الآسيوي للحد من الكوارث في تنظيم اجتماع خبراء بشأن تضمين معلومات وتكنولوجيات الفضاء في إطار الحد من خطر الكوارث والتكيف مع تغيُّر المناخ، وهو اجتماع ضم خبراء بارزين من المنطقة.

In carrying out its work in the region of Asia and the Pacific, UN-SPIDER works closely with and builds upon the expertise and capabilities of the regional support offices established in that region, namely the Iranian Space Agency, the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission and the Asian Disaster Reduction Center.
29- ويعمل برنامج سبايدر، في معرض اضطلاعه بأعماله في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ، بشكل وثيق استنادا إلى الخبرة والقدرات المتوفّرة لدى مكاتب الدعم الإقليمي القائمة في هذه المنطقة، وهي: وكالة الفضاء الإيرانية، ولجنة بحوث الفضاء والغلاف الجوي العلوي في باكستان، والمركز الآسيوي للحد من الكوارث.

The Committee noted with satisfaction that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had so far signed cooperation agreements for the establishment of UN-SPIDER regional support offices with Algeria, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania and Ukraine, as well as the Asian Disaster Reduction Centre and the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean.

UN-SPIDER and the Asian Disaster Reduction Centre jointly organized the expert meeting on incorporating space-based information and technology into disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, which was held in Incheon, Republic of Korea, on 26 October 2010, during the Fourth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.
30- اشترك برنامج سبايدر والمركز الآسيوي للحد من الكوارث في تنظيم اجتماع الخبراء حول دمج معلومات وتكنولوجيا الفضاء في الحدّ من مخاطر الكوارث والتكيُّف مع تغيرُّ المناخ الذي عُقد في إينتشيون، جمهورية كوريا، يوم 26 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010، أثناء انعقاد المؤتمر الوزاري الآسيوي الرابع بشأن الحدّ من مخاطر الكوارث.

The Asian Disaster Reduction Centre in Japan was the point of contact for emergency observation requests for Sentinel Asia, and the UNSPIDER regional support office provided a connection with the multilateral system.
وذكر أن المركز الآسيوي للحد من الكوارث في اليابان هو نقطة الاتصال بالنسبة لطلبات المراقبة في حالات الطوارئ التي تقدَّم إلى " مشروع الرصد في آسيا " ، كما أن مكتب الدعم الإقليمي لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للمعلومات الفضائية من أجل إدارة الكوارث والاستجابة للطوارئ ( " سبايدر " ) يتيح الاتصال بالنظام المتعدد الأطراف.
