There is no need for me to remind the Assembly that the advent of a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East will inevitably require restoring to the Palestinian people their national and historic rights, including their right to an independent State, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, the return of refugees and the restoration of all the other Arab territories occupied by Israel.

The meeting reiterated its support for comprehensive peace based on relevant United Nations resolutions, including Security Council resolutions 242 (1967), 338 (1973), 1397 (2002) and 1515 (2003) as well as the agreed principles which call on Israel to withdraw fully from the occupied Palestinian territories, including Al Quds Al Sharif and other occupied Arab lands.
