31 - وسوف تعمل إدارة الأراضي المستدامة والمياه والغابات إلى جانب حفظ الموارد وتجديدها على حماية وتعزيز التنوّع الأحيائي وخدمات النظم الإيكولوجية، ويتمخّض عن هذا قدر من الأمن الغذائي، أكبر بما يقلّل من سوء التغذية، ويوفّر بيئة نظيفة وصحية لرعاية الأنشطة الثقافية والاجتماعية والترفيهية التي تعتبر هامة لصحتنا العقلية وللنمو الاقتصادي للسكان وقطاعات الأعمال.

30. The session also acknowledged the nexus between climate change and desertification and supported the integration of climate change adaptation measures and disaster risk reduction strategies in agricultural and rural development strategies, sustainable land management and action plans to combat drought and desertification, in particular in developing countries.
30 - سلمت الدورة السابعة عشرة أيضا بالصلة بين تغير المناخ والتصحر وأيدت إدماج التدابير المتعلقة بالتكيف مع تغير المناخ واستراتيجيات الحد من مخاطر الكوارث في الاستراتيجيات الإنمائية الزراعية والاستراتيجيات الإنمائية الريفية وإدارة الأراضي المستدامة وخطط العمل لمكافحة الجفاف والتصحر ولا سيما في البلدان النامية.
