The Group also recalls that the Heads of State or Government of the Non-Aligned Countries also restated that the development of new types of nuclear weapons contravened the assurances provided by the nuclear-weapon States at the time of the conclusion of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty that the Treaty would prevent the improvement of existing nuclear weapons and development of new types of nuclear weapons.

The Ministers reiterated, with concern, that improvements in existing nuclear weapons and the development of new types of nuclear weapons as provided for in the military doctrines of some NWS, including the United States Nuclear Posture Review, violate their legal obligations on nuclear disarmament and contravene the negative security assurances provided by the NWS.
162- أكد الوزراء مجدداً بقلق أن التحسينات التي طرأت على الأسلحة النووية الحالية وتطوير أنواع جديدة من هذه الأسلحة، على النحو الوارد في العقيدة العسكرية لبعض الدول الحائزة للأسلحة النووية، بما في ذلك وثيقة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية الخاصة باستعراض الوضع النووي، إنما تنتهك الالتزامات القانونية بشأن نزع الأسلحة النووية وتتعارض مع الضمانات الأمنية السلبية التي قدمتها الدول الحائزة للأسلحة النووية.
