1. Article 8, paragraph 2, of the Convention provides that the functions of the secretariat shall be, inter alia, to make arrangements for sessions of the Conference of the Parties and its subsidiary bodies and to provide them with services as required.
1- تنص الفقرة 2 من المادة 8 من الاتفاقية على أن تتولى الأمانة، في جملة أمور، اتخاذ الترتيبات المتعلقة بدورات مؤتمر الأطراف ودورات هيئاته الفرعية وتقديم الخدمات اللازمة إليها.

Article 8.2 of the Convention provides that the functions of the secretariat shall be, inter alia, “to make arrangements for sessions of the Conference of the Parties and its subsidiary bodies established under the Convention and to provide them with services as required”.
