(d) Reduce the length of the procedures for children seeking asylum and deal with application by a child or his/her parents for the purpose of family reunification in a positive, humane and expeditious manner, in the light of article 10 of the Convention;
(د) خفض طول مدة الإجراءات لصالح الأطفال ملتمسي اللجوء ومعالجة أي طلب يقدمه الطفل أو والداه بغرض لم شمل الأسرة بطريقة إيجابية وإنسانية وعاجلة في ضوء المادة 10 من الاتفاقية؛

The Committee is of the view that all unaccompanied asylumseeking children, including children who are victims of acts contrary to the Optional Protocol, should be provided with appropriate protection and services, preferably under the same service authority.

All appropriate measures should be taken by the State party to avoid the placement of asylum seeking children in immigration detention centres.

The Committee recommends that the State party enable access to primary education and facilitate access to secondary education, in line with the Law on Asylum, to all child asylum seekers pending consideration of their refugee claim.

(a) Reconsider its policy of detaining children who are asylum-seeking, refugees and/or irregular migrants; and, ensure that if immigration detention is imposed, it is subject to time limits and judicial review;

It further recommends that the State party ensure that all personnel dealing with children, in particular authorities working for and with asylum-seeking and refugee children, police, lawyers, judges, military judges, medical professionals, social workers and journalists receive training on the Optional Protocol.
