3 - يطلب إلى لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية أن تواصل استعراض الأعمال التحضيرية للذكرى السنوية العشرين للسنة الدولية للأسرة في إطار جدول أعمالها وبرنامج عملها المتعدد السنوات حتى عام 2014، وأن تعقد في دورتها الثانية والخمسين حلقة نقاش احتفالا بالذكرى السنوية العشرين للسنة الدولية للأسرة؛

The Women's Board Educational Cooperation Society, in cooperation with the United Nations Information Centre in Lagos, Nigeria organized an media forum for non-governmental organizations on the preparations for the twentieth anniversary of the International Year of the Family, in observance of the International Day of Families, 15 May.

4. the preparations for the twentieth anniversary led many Member States to make concrete efforts to improve family well-being, in particular through policies tackling family poverty, ensuring work-family balance and supporting intergenerational relations and intergenerational solidarity.

1. The General Assembly, in its resolution 68/136, encouraged Member States to develop appropriate policies and programmes aimed at tackling family poverty and social exclusion, ensuring work-family balance and addressing intergenerational issues, the three themes guiding the preparations for the twentieth anniversary of the International Year of the Family.
١ - شجَّعت الجمعية العامة الدول الأعضاء، في قرارها 68/136، على وضع سياسات وبرامج مناسبة ترمي إلى معالجة فقر الأسرة، والإقصاء الاجتماعي، وكفالة التوازن بين العمل والأسرة، والتصدي للمسائل المشتركة بين الأجيال، وهي المواضيع الثلاثة التي تسترشد بها الأعمال التحضيرية للذكرى السنوية العشرين للسنة الدولية للأسرة.

12. Recommends that United Nations agencies and bodies, including the regional commissions, and invites relevant intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations and research and academic institutions to, work closely with the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the Secretariat in a coordinated manner on family-related issues, including the preparations for the twentieth anniversary of the International Year;

Also requests the Commission for Social Development to adopt the following themes to guide the preparations for the twentieth anniversary of the International Year of the Family: (a) poverty eradication: confronting family poverty and social exclusion; (b) full employment and decent work: ensuring work-family balance; (c) social integration: advancing social integration and intergenerational solidarity;
