The Meeting agreed that, once it had been finalized, in consultation with Meeting focal points, the report would be submitted to the Committee at its fifty-second session and presented to the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, to be held in Algeria in late 2009.
واتفق الاجتماع على أن يقدّم التقرير، بعد أن يُوضع في صيغته النهائية، بالتشاور مع جهات الوصل التابعة للاجتماع، إلى اللجنة في دورتها الثانية والخمسين، وأن يُعرض على مؤتمر الريادة الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، المُقرر عقده بالجزائر في أواخر عام 2009.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that the Office for Outer Space Affairs was assisting in regional efforts to build capacity in space law, including providing support to the Third African Leadership Conference.
112- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية مع التقدير أن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي يساعد في الجهود الإقليمية الرامية إلى بناء القدرات في مجال قانون الفضاء، بما في ذلك تقديم الدعم لمؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث.

In that connection, he welcomed Kenya's hosting of the Fourth African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, which was to be held in 2011, and the work of the Third African Leadership Conference, which had been held in Algeria in 2009.
وفي هذا الصدد، رحّب باستضافة كينيا لمؤتمر الزعامة الأفريقية الرابع بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، المقرر عقده في عام 2011، وبعمل مؤتمر الزعامة الأفريقية الثالث الذي عُقدَ في الجزائر في عام 2009.

The Committee noted with satisfaction that the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development had been held in Algiers from 30 November to 2 December 2009, under the patronage of the President of Algeria.
34- ولاحظت اللجنة بارتياح أن مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، قد عُقد في الجزائر العاصمة، من 30 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر إلى 2 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2009، تحت رعاية رئيس الجزائر.

In that regard, the Working Group encouraged the Action Team to provide information on its activities at the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, to be held in Algeria in 2009, in order to benefit from African contributions to raising awareness, both within the region and globally, of the threats posed by near-Earth objects.
وفي هذا الصدد، شجّع الفريق العامل فريق العمل على تقديم معلومات عن أنشطته إلى مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، المقرّر عقده في الجزائر عام 2009، بغية الاستفادة من المساهمات الأفريقية في مجال التوعية، داخل المنطقة وفي أنحاء العالم على السواء، بالأخطار التي تمثّلها الأجسام القريبة من الأرض.

31- ورحّبت اللجنة، مع الارتياح، بالأعمال التحضيرية لمؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، الذي سيعقد في الجزائر من 30 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر إلى 2 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2009.

The Subcommittee welcomed the fact that the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, held in Algiers from 7 to 9 December 2009, had addressed space law.
111- ورحّبت اللجنة الفرعية بتناول مسألة قانون الفضاء أثناء مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، المعقود في الجزائر العاصمة من 7 إلى 9 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2009.

In that regard, the Subcommittee noted that the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development had been held in Algiers from 7 to 9 December 2009 with financial support from the Office for Outer Space Affairs.
41- ونوَّهت اللجنة الفرعية، في ذلك الصدد، بأن مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة قد عقد في الجزائر العاصمة من 7 إلى 9 أيلول/سبتمبر 2009 بدعم مالي من مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي.

The Subcommittee further noted that the proceedings of the Second African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology, held in Pretoria from 2 to 5 October 2007, had been disseminated in issue 12 of the journal African Skies/Cieux Africains and that the Third African leadership conference on space science and technology for sustainable development would be held in Algeria in 2009.
39- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية كذلك أن أعمال مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثاني حول علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء، الذي عُقد في بريتوريا من 2 إلى 5 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2007، قد نشرت في العدد 12 من مجلة African Skies/Cieux Africains، وأن مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث حول تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة سيُعقد في الجزائر في عام 2009.

The report had been prepared by the Office for Outer Space Affairs in cooperation with the Economic Commission for Africa and in consultation with other United Nations entities and would be made available at the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, to be held in Algiers from 30 November to 2 December 2009.
وكان مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد أعد ذلك التقرير بالتعاون مع اللجنة الاقتصادية لأفريقيا وبالتشاور مع كيانات أخرى تابعة للأمم المتحدة، وسيتاح التقرير في مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، الذي سيُعقد في الجزائر العاصمة في الفترة من 30 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر إلى 2 كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2009.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that the Inter-Agency Meeting had agreed to prepare a report on the benefits of space technology for sustainable development in Africa and noted that the report was to be presented at the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development, to be held in Algeria in 2009.
21- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية مع التقدير أن الاجتماع المشترك بين الوكالات قد اتفق على إعداد تقرير عن منافع تكنولوجيا الفضاء في التنمية المستدامة في أفريقيا، ولاحظت أن التقرير سيعرض على مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة، الذي سيعقد في الجزائر، عام 2009.

In that connection his delegation welcomed the current preparations for the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development to be held in Algiers in December 2009 and also the IAA African Regional Conference that was to meet in Abuja in November 2009.
ويرحب وفده، في هذا الصدد، بالأعمال التحضيرية الجارية حاليا لمؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة الذي سيعقد في مدينة الجزائر في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2009، والمؤتمر الإقليمي الأفريقي للأكاديمية الدولية لعلوم الملاحة الفلكية الذي سيعقد في أبوجا في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2009.

The Committee noted with satisfaction that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had signed cooperation agreements for the establishment of UN-SPIDER regional support offices with Iran (Islamic Republic of), Nigeria and Romania, as well as the Asian Disaster Reduction Centre, and that a cooperation agreement would be signed with the Government of Algeria during the Third African Leadership Conference, to be held in 2009.
122- ولاحظت اللجنة، مع الارتياح، أن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي وقَّع اتفاقات تعاون من أجل إنشاء مكاتب دعم إقليمية لبرنامج " سبايدر " مع إيران (جمهورية-الإسلامية) ورومانيا ونيجيريا وكذلك مع المركز الآسيوي للحد من الكوارث، وأن اتفاق تعاون سيبرم مع حكومة الجزائر أثناء مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث الذي سيعقد في عام 2009.

The present report was endorsed by the Meeting at its twenty-ninth session, in March 2009, and will be presented, in late 2009, to the Third African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (see www.space.gov.za/conferences/alc2007).
4- وقد أقرّ الاجتماع المشترك بين الوكالات هذا التقرير في دورته التاسعة والعشرين المعقودة في آذار/مارس 2009، وسيُقدّم التقرير في أواخر عام 2009 إلى مؤتمر القيادات الأفريقية الثالث بشأن تسخير علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء لأغراض التنمية المستدامة (انظر الموقع الشبكي التالي: www.space.gov.za/conferences/alc2007).
