Given UNCTAD's global mandate as the focal point of the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and interrelated issues, its technical assistance for developing countries is founded on three imperatives:

27. As the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the area of finance, investment, technology and sustainable development, UNCTAD has clearly been mandated to carry out this very important task.
27- وبالنظر إلى أن الأونكتاد يشكل صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والاستثمار والتكنولوجيا والتنمية المستدامة، فقد تم تفويضه على نحو واضح بالاضطلاع بهذه الوظيفة الهامة بالذات.

18. UNCTAD remains the focal point in the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development, and interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
18- ويظل الأونكتاد هو مركز التنسيق في الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

2. As the focal point of the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development, UNCTAD is expected to make substantial contributions to the implementation of the outcomes of recent global conferences.
2- ويُتوقع من الأونكتاد، بوصفه صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة، أن يُسهم إسهاماً كبيراً في تنفيذ نتائج المؤتمرات العالمية التي عُقِدت مؤخراً.

In providing its technical cooperation services, UNCTAD will draw on its expertise as the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
6- وسيعتمد الأونكتاد، في توفير خدماته في مجال التعاون التقني، على ما يتمتع به من خبرة فنية بوصفه صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

6. In providing its technical cooperation services, UNCTAD will draw on its expertise as the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
6 - وسيعتمد الأونكتاد، في توفير خدماته في مجال التعاون التقني، على ما يتمتع به من خبرة فنية بوصفه صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

107. As the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the area of finance, investment, technology and sustainable development, UNCTAD has clearly been mandated to carry out this very important task.
107 - وبالنظر إلى أن الأونكتاد يشكل صلة الوصل ضمن منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والاستثمار والتكنولوجيا والتنمية المستدامة، فقد تم تفويضه على نحو واضح بالاضطلاع بهذه الوظيفة الهامة بالذات.

21. We stress our support to UNCTAD as the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and the interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development, we welcome the decision of the General Assembly in its resolution 57/270B to include UNCTAD in the Monterrey Consensus follow-up mechanism.
21 - ونؤكد دعمنا للأونكتاد بوصفه مركز التنسيق داخل الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة للتجارة والتنمية وللمسائل المترابطة في مجالات المالية والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة. ونرحب بقرار الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 57/270 باء بضم الأونكتاد إلى آلية متابعة توافق آراء مونتيري.

3. We also reaffirm the central role of UNCTAD as the focal point within the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
3- وإننا نكرر أيضاً تأكيد الدور المركزي للأونكتاد باعتباره جهة الوصل في منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات المالية والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

14. The delegations reaffirmed the role of UNCTAD as the focal point in the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development, and interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
14- وأكدت الوفود من جديد دور الأونكتاد كمركز التنسيق في الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

119. UNCTAD XIII reaffirms the organization's core mandate, as set out in 1964, to serve as the focal point of the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
119- يُعيد الأونكتاد الثالث عشر تأكيد الولاية الأساسية لهذه المنظمة، كما حُددت في عام 1964، ليكون بمثابة صلة الوصل في منظومة الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.

In an increasingly complex global economy, UNCTAD has an important role to play as an institution with universal membership and a mandate to serve as the focal point of the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and interrelated issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.
8- وفي اقتصاد عالمي متزايد التعقيد، للأونكتاد دور هام يجب أن يؤديه بوصفه مؤسسة عالمية العضوية تنهض بولاية العمل كمركز للتنسيق في الأمم المتحدة فيما يتعلق بالمعالجة المتكاملة لقضايا التجارة والتنمية والقضايا المترابطة في مجالات التمويل والتكنولوجيا والاستثمار والتنمية المستدامة.
