Despite the challenges, the Assistant Secretary-General informed the Council that the United Nations and partners had continued to deliver life-saving assistance to millions of people in need, including across the borders. She stressed, however, that the United Nations was still unable to deliver sufficient quantities of aid to people in the hardest-to-reach areas.
