The General Assembly had earlier decided, in resolution 58/205 of 23 December 2003, to include in the provisional agenda of its fifty-ninth session a sub-item entitled " Preventing and combating corrupt practices and transfer of funds and assets of illicit origin and returning such funds and assets to the countries of origin " .
وكانت الجمعية العامة قد قررت من قبل، في القرار 58/205 المؤرخ 23 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، أن تدرج في جدول الأعمال المؤقت لدورتها التاسعة والخمسين بندا فرعيا عنوانه " منع ومكافحة الممارسات الفاسدة وتحويل الأموال والأصول المتأتية من مصدر غير مشروع وإعادة تلك الأموال والأصول إلى بلدانها الأصلية " .

6. Requests the international community to support national efforts to strengthen human and institutional capacity and regulatory frameworks for preventing corruption, bribery, money laundering and the transfer of funds and assets of illicit origin, and to assist in the return of such funds and assets to the countries of origin;
6 - تطلب إلى المجتمع الدولي دعم الجهود الوطنية الرامية إلى تعزيز القدرة البشرية والمؤسسية والأطر التنظيمية لمنع الفساد والرشوة وغسل الأموال وتحويل الأموال والأصول المتأتية من مصدر غير مشروع، والمساعدة في إعادة تلك الأموال والأصول إلى بلدانها الأصلية.

2. Recognizes the urgent need to repatriate such illicit funds to the countries of origin and urges all States to commit their political will to act together to recover the proceeds of corruption, including by repatriating illicit funds and assets to the countries of origin;
