14. On 19 December 2007, the Secretary-General convened and chaired the first meeting of the " Group of Friends of the Secretary-General on Myanmar " .

وقد أتاح اتّباعُ هذا النهج للأمين العام ومستشاره الخاص وضع خطة شاملة من خمس نقاط أقرتها مجموعة أصدقاء الأمين العام المعنية بميانمار ومجلس الأمن، لتكون بذلك أول أساس مشترك يحظى بتأييد واسع للانخراط من خلال القيام بالمساعي الحميدة مع جميع أصحاب المصلحة في ميانمار.

On behalf of the Secretary-General, the Special Adviser also convened a meeting of the Group of Friends of the Secretary-General on Myanmar on 8 July to discuss the outcomes of the visit of the Secretary-General.

Following the decision of the Group of Friends of the Secretary-General on Myanmar to reconfigure the Group in light of the new engagement of Myanmar with the international community, the Secretary-General convened the first meeting of the Partnership Group on 25 April 2014, which was attended by a delegation from Myanmar headed by U Khin Yi, Minister for Immigration and Population Affairs.
وفي أعقاب اتخاذ مجموعة أصدقاء الأمين العام المعنية بميانمار قرارا بإعادة تشكيل المجموعة في ضوء التعاون الجديد الذي تبديه ميانمار مع المجتمع الدولي، دعا الأمين العام إلى عقد الاجتماع الأول لفريق الشراكة في 25 نيسان/أبريل 2014، الذي حضره وفد من ميانمار، برئاسة وزير الهجرة وشؤون السكان، يو خين يي.

In addition to the Special Adviser's consultations with Government counterparts in capitals, this has included nine meetings of the Group of Friends of the Secretary-General on Myanmar since its establishment in December 2007, convened and chaired by the Secretary-General, including the first high-level ministerial meeting of the Group on 27 September 2008.
وبالإضافة إلى المشاورات التي أجراها المستشار الخاص مع نظرائه الحكوميين في العواصم، عُقدت تسعة اجتماعات لمجموعة أصدقاء الأمين العام المعنية بميانمار منذ إنشائها في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2007، دعا إليها وترأسها الأمين العام، بينها الاجتماع الوزاري الرفيع المستوى الأول للمجموعة في 27 أيلول/سبتمبر 2008.

18. As part of the implementation of the good offices mandate, the Special Adviser also consults regularly with key interested Member States, including through visits to regional and neighbouring countries and through focused discussions in the Group of Friends of the Secretary-General on Myanmar.
