57. In accordance with paragraph 2 (a) of annex I to the rules of procedure of the Commission, Mr. Whomersley informed the Commission that the subject of the partial submission was also the subject of a submission by Argentina.

In reference to paragraph 2 (a) of annex I to the rules of procedure (CLSC/40/Rev.1), he informed the Commission that the submission was not the subject of any dispute and pointed out that Suriname consulted its neighbouring States, namely Barbados, France, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

59. Mr. Whomersley stated that in accordance with paragraph 2 (b) of annex I to the rules of procedure of the Commission, the United Kingdom wished to inform the Commission that, in its view, the consideration of the partial submission by the Commission would not prejudice matters relating to the delimitation of boundaries between the United Kingdom and other States.

82. With regard to the communication from Costa Rica dated 15 July 2013, he noted that it invoked paragraph 5 (a) of annex I to the rules of procedure of the Commission, but that Costa Rica had never claimed continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles from its coast in the Caribbean Sea, and that its reliance on paragraph 5 (a) of annex I to the rules of procedure was not justified.
82 - وفيما يتعلق بالرسالة الواردة من كوستاريكا المؤرخة 15 تموز/يوليه 2013، أشار إلى أنها تستشهد بالفقرة 5 (أ) من المرفق الأول من النظام الداخلي للجنة، إلا أن كوستاريكا لم تطالب قط بأي جرف قاري أبعد من 200 ميل بحري من ساحلها في البحر الكاريبي، وأن استنادها إلى الفقرة 5 (أ) من المرفق الأول للنظام الداخلي غير مبرر.
