واعترفت هذه الاتفاقية بوضوح بارتباط التعليم الشامل وحق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في التعليم إذ نصت المادة 24 على ما يلي: " تقر الدول الأطراف بحق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في التعليم.
