Coordination of close collaboration among the member Emirates with a view to the promotion and development of tourism; and

The Constitution of the United Arab Emirates stipulates that the Federation exercises its sovereignty inside the international borders of the member Emirates, while the member Emirates exercise their sovereignty over all matters for which the Federation does not have competence under the Constitution.
وينص دستور الإمارات العربية المتحدة على أن الاتحاد يمارس سيادته داخل الحدود الدولية للإمارات الأعضاء في حين تمارس الإمارات الأعضاء السيادة في جميع الشؤون التي لا يختص بها الاتحاد بمقتضى الدستور.

23. The Federal National Council comprises 40 seats which are allocated among the member Emirates as follows: Abu Dhabi: 8 seats; Dubai: 8 seats; Sharjah: 6 seats; Ras alKhaimah: 6 seats; Ajman: 4 seats; Umm alQaiwain: 4 seats; and Fujairah: 4 seats.

The country's concern is to achieve economic and social development that is balanced for the Federation as a whole as well as for the member Emirates. In establishing State policies and plans for the future it seeks to strike a balance between social growth and economic development.
كما تهتم الإمارات بتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية على أساس متوازن بالنسبة للدولة ككل وعلى مستوى الإمارات الأعضاء في الاتحاد، وتسعى إلى إيجاد التوازن بين النمو الاجتماعي والتنمية الاقتصادية عند وضعها لسياسات الدولة وخططها المستقبلية.

A Cabinet order established the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking in 2007 to give teeth to Federal Law 51 and create a coordinating body for anti-human trafficking efforts at all levels in member Emirates.
وقد أُنشئت اللجنة الوطنية لمناهضة الاتجار بالبشر بموجب أمر صادر عن مجلس الوزراء في عام 2007 لتعزيز القانون الاتحادي رقم 51 وإنشاء هيئة لتنسيق الجهود التي تبذل في مجال مكافحة الاتجار بالبشر على جميع المستويات في الإمارات الأعضاء في الاتحاد.

Article 25 provides: " Citizens have the freedom to move between the member Emirates of the Federation. "
ونصت المادة 25 على: " للمواطن حرية التنقل بين الإمارات الأعضاء في الاتحاد " .

(a) Disputes between member Emirates of the Federation or between one or more Emirates and the Federal Government which are referred to the Court at the request of any of the parties concerned;
(أ) المنازعات المختلفة بين الإمارات الأعضاء في الاتحاد، أو بين أية إمارة أو أكثر وبين حكومة الاتحاد، متى أحيلت هذه المنازعات إلى المحكمة بناءً على طلب أي طرف من الأطراف المعنية؛

The Constitution defines the objectives and the institutions of the Federation and provides that the Federation exercises its sovereignty inside the international borders of the member Emirates, while the member Emirates exercise their sovereignty over all matters for which the Federation does not have competence under the Constitution.
9- ويُحدد الدستور أهداف ومؤسسات الاتحاد، وينص على أن الاتحاد يمارس سيادته ضمن الحدود الدولية للإمارات الأعضاء، بينما تمارس الإمارات الأعضاء سيادتها في جميع المسائل الخارجة عن نطاق اختصاص الاتحاد وفقاً للدستور.

8. The Constitution defines the division of powers between the federal and local authorities. Article 120 sets out the legislative and executive powers of the federal authorities, while article 121 defines the legislative functions that are exclusive to the federal authorities. Other functions are carried out by the member Emirates.
8 - ونص الدستور على تقسيم الصلاحيات بين السلطات الاتحادية والسلطات المحلية حيث حصرت المادة (120) من الدستور اختصاصات السلطات الاتحادية في التشريع والتنفيذ، وحددت المادة (121) من الدستور الاختصاصات التي تنفرد بها السلطات الاتحادية ناحية التشريع، أما ماعدا هذه الاختصاصات فتتولاه الإمارات الأعضاء.

Islam is the official religion of the Federation and Arabic is the official language. 15. The Constitution defines the division of powers between the federal and the local authorities. Article 120 sets out the legislative and executive powers of the federal authorities, while article 121 defines the legislative functions which are exclusive to the federal authorities. Other functions are carried out by the member Emirates.
15- ونص الدستور على تقسيم الصلاحيات بين السلطات الاتحادية والسلطات المحلية حيث حصرت المادة (120) من الدستور اختصاصات السلطات الاتحادية في التشريع والتنفيذ، وحددت المادة (121) من الدستور الاختصاصات التي تنفرد بها السلطات الاتحادية ناحية التشريع، أما ما عدا هذه الاختصاصات فتتولاه الإمارات الأعضاء.

Article 7: United Arab Emirates citizenship may be granted to any person having full legal capacity if he has been continuously and legally resident in the member Emirates since 1940 or before and has maintained his customary residence up to the effective date of this Act, has a legitimate source of income, has demonstrated good conduct, has not been convicted of an offence violating honour or trust and is proficient in the Arabic language.
المادة 7: " يجوز منح جنسية الدولة لأي شخص كامل الأهلية إذا أقام بصورة مستمرة ومشروعة في الإمارات الأعضاء منذ عام 1940 أو قبلها وحافظ على إقامته العادية حتى تاريخ نفاذ هذا القانون، وأن تكون له وسيلة مشروعة للعيش وأن يكون حسن السيرة غير محكوم عليه في جريمة مخلة بالشرف والأمانة ويحسن اللغة العربية " .
