The Assembly requested the Secretary-General, in collaboration with relevant organizations of the United Nations system, including funds and programmes and the World Bank, to submit to it at its fifty-third session a report on the role of microcredit in the eradication of poverty.
وطلبت الجمعية العامة من اﻷمين العام أن يقدم إليها في دورتها التالثة والخمسين بالتعاون مع مؤسسات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، بما في ذلك الصناديق والبرامج والبنك الدولي، تقريراً عن دور الائتمانات الصغيرة في القضاء على الفقر.

There are a large number of documents included as part of the discussion and I will not try to cover them all. Let me focus my remarks on document A/53/223 and Add.1 which deals with the role of microcredit in the eradication of poverty.
