4. In pursuance of these aims, my Special Representative maintained her regular contacts with both sides to the conflict at the highest level and with the Group of Friends, including with the Russian Federation in its capacity as facilitator.
4 - وسعيا لتحقيق هذه الأهداف، واصلت ممثلتي الخاصة اتصالاتها المنتظمة مع كلا جانبي الصراع على أعلى مستوى ومع فريق الأصدقاء، بما فيه الاتحاد الروسي بصفته الميسِّر.

In this context we call upon the other parties concerned, particularly the Russian Federation in its capacity as one of the two co-sponsors of the peace process, as well as China and Japan, to activate and intensify their efforts. We also call upon the European Union, with its economic and political interests and capabilities, to move quickly and effectively to salvage and safeguard the peace process.
وفـــي هذا السياق فإننا ندعو اﻷطراف اﻷخرى المهتمة لتكفيف وتفعيــــل تحركها، ولا سيما الاتحاد الروسي بصفته أحد راعيـــي عملية السلام، والصين، واليابان، كما ندعو بشكل خاص الاتحاد اﻷوروبي، بما له من مصالح وإمكانات اقتصادية وسياسية، للتحرك العاجل والفاعل من أجل إنقاذ وحماية عملية السلام.

The above-mentioned bodies are to meet under the chairmanship of my Special Representative or his authorized representatives, with the participation of the representatives of the Russian Federation in its capacity as facilitator, representatives of OSCE, as well as with the group of Friends of the Secretary-General, acting as observers.

إن هذا الموقف غير المفهوم من جانب بعض الدوائر الحاكمة في الاتحاد الروسي يضر ضررا بالغا بالعلاقات اﻷذربيجانية - الروسية، كما يثير الشك في موضوعية وصدق الاتحاد الروسي بصفته رئيسا مشاركا لفريق منسك التابع لمنظمة اﻷمن والتعاون في أوروبا.
