1. Consider matters related to the budget of the Convention and related financial matters.

Noting the responsibilities of the Secretary-General under the Convention and related resolutions of the General Assembly, in particular resolution 49/28, and emphasizing the importance of the performance of such responsibilities for the effective and consistent implementation of the Convention,
وإذا تحيط علما بمسؤوليات اﻷمين العام بموجب الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من قرارات الجمعية العامة، ولا سيما قرارها ٤٩/٢٨، وإذا تؤكد أهمية الوفاء بهذه المسؤوليات من أجل تنفيذ الاتفاقية تنفيذا فعالا ومتسقا،

(f) Through the analysis of trends and emerging issues guidance is provided to the Parties and support given to the further development of the Convention and its related instruments; and

The Committee calls upon the State party to ensure that the Convention and related domestic legislation are made an integral part of education and training for all, including members of the legal profession, law enforcement officers and the judiciary.
وتدعو اللجنة الدولة الطرف إلى كفالة أن تصبح الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من تشريعات محلية جزءاً لا يتجزأ من هدف توفير التعليم والتدريب للجميع، بمن فيهم المشتغلون بالمهنة القانونية وموظفو إنفاذ القانون والجهاز القضائي.

34. It was discussed that the scope of this assessment should not be limited, but rather that different possible options be worked on for strengthening the provision of scientific advice to the Convention and related processes:
34- ونوقشت مسألة ضرورة ألاّ يكون نطاق عملية التقييم محدوداً بل أن توضع خيارات مختلفة ممكنة لتعزيز تقديم المشورة العلمية لعملية الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من عمليات:

The Committee also calls upon the governments to ensure that the Convention and related domestic legislation are made an integral part of the legal education and training of judicial officers, including judges, lawyers and prosecutors, so as to establish firmly a legal culture supportive of women's equality and non-discrimination.
وتهيب اللجنةُ بالحكومات أيضا أن تكفل جعل الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من تشريعات محلية جزءا لا يتجزأ من تدريس القانون وتدريب الموظفين القضائيين، بمن فيهم القضاة والمحامون وممثلو الإدعاء، لكي يتسنى ترسيخ ثقافة قانونية تدعم المساواة بين الجنسين وعدم التمييز ضد المرأة.

The Committee recommends that the Convention and related domestic legislation be made an integral part of the legal education and training of judges and magistrates, lawyers and prosecutors, particularly those working in the local council courts, so that a legal culture supportive of women's equality with men and non-discrimination on the basis of sex is firmly established in the country.
وتوصي اللجنة بإدراج الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من تشريعات وطنية في التعليم والتدريب القانونيين للقضاة بمختلف درجاتهم والمحامين والمدعين، ولا سيما أولئك الذين يعملون في محاكم المجالس المحلية، على نحو يسمح برسوخ ثقافة قانونية داعمة لمساواة المرأة بالرجل وعدم التمييز على أساس الجنس.

Noting the responsibilities of the Secretary-General under the Convention and related resolutions of the General Assembly, in particular resolutions 49/28 and 52/26, and emphasizing the importance of the performance of such responsibilities for the effective and consistent implementation of the Convention,

16. Also requests the Secretary-General to continue to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to him in the Convention and related resolutions of the General Assembly, including those mentioned in paragraph 11 of resolution 52/26, and to ensure that the performance of such activities is not adversely affected by savings as may be realized under the approved budget for the Organization;
١٦ - تطلب أيضا إلى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل الاضطلاع بالمسؤوليات التي أناطتها به الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من قرارات الجمعية العامة، بما في ذلك تلك المسؤوليات المذكورة في الفقرة ١١ من القرار ٥٢/٢٦، وأن يكفل عدم تأثر أداء هذه اﻷنشطة تأثرا سلبيا نتيجة لتحقيق أية وفورات في إطار الميزانية المعتمدة للمنظمة؛

11. Also requests the Secretary-General to continue to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to him in the Convention and related resolutions of the General Assembly and to ensure that the performance of such activities is not adversely affected by savings as may be realized under the approved budget for the Organization; these activities include, inter alia:
١١ - تطلب أيضا إلى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل الاضطلاع بالمسؤوليات التي أناطتها به الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من قرارات الجمعية العامة وأن يكفل عدم تأثر أداء مثل هذه اﻷنشطة تأثرا سلبيا نتيجة لتحقيق أية وفورات في إطار ميزانية المنظمة المعتمدة؛ ومن جملة هذه اﻷنشطة:

(f) Continue and enhance training of military personnel on the standards required by the Convention and related human rights matters, including those regarding discriminatory treatment;
(و) مواصلة وتحسين التدريب الموجه إلى العاملين في الجيش بشأن المعايير التي تقتضيها الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من مسائل حقوق الإنسان، بما فيها تلك المتعلقة بالمعاملة التمييزية؛

20. The Committee welcomes the information about the dissemination of the Convention and related training, which have been adopted as one of the objectives of the Government's Policy Programme for the Wellbeing of Children, Youth and Families, and about the campaign to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Convention.
20- ترحب اللجنة بالمعلومات التي تتعلق بنشر الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من تدريب، وهو هدف اعتمد بوصفه أحد أهداف برنامج السياسات المتعلقة برعاية الأطفال والشباب والأسر الذي وضعته الحكومة، وبتنظيم حملة للاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية العشرين للاتفاقية.

(b) Ensure that the Convention and related domestic legislation be made an integral part of the legal education and training of judges, magistrates, lawyers and prosecutors so that a legal culture supportive of the equality of women with men and non-discrimination on the basis of sex is firmly established in the country;
(ب) ضمان أن تشكِّل الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من تشريعات محلية جزءاً لا يتجزأ من التثقيف والتدريب القانونيين للقضاة والمحامين والمدعين العامين بحيث تترسخ في البلد ثقافة قانونية داعِمة للمساواة بين النساء والرجال ولعدم التمييز على أساس الجنس؛

It also recommended expanding its programmes to sensitize children and parents about the Convention, and ensuring that the Convention and related domestic legislation form an integral part of education and training of professional groups working with and for children.
وأوصت أيضا بتوسيع نطاق برامجها لتوعية الأطفال وذويهم بشأن الاتفاقية وبالحرص على أن تشكل الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من تشريعات محلية جزءا لا يتجزأ من التعليم والتدريب المتاح للفئات المهنية التي تعمل مع الأطفال ومن أجلهم(24).

It further urges the State party to ensure that the Convention and related domestic legislation are made an integral part of legal education and the training of judicial officers, including judges, lawyers and prosecutors, law enforcement officers, district officials, chiefs and other traditional and community leaders, so as to create a legal culture supportive of women's equality and non-discrimination.
وتحث الدولة الطرف أيضا على كفالة إدماج الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من تشريعات محلية كجزء لا يتجزأ من دراسة القانون والتدريب الذي يتلقاه العاملون في مجال القضاء، بمن فيهم القضاة والمحامون وممثلو الإدعاء، وموظفو إنفاذ القوانين ومسؤولو المقاطعات، والزعماء وغيرهم من القادة التقليديين وقادة المجتمعات المحلية وذلك بغية إيجاد ثقافة قانونية تدعم مساواة المرأة بالرجل وعدم التمييز ضدها.

The work of the Secretariat is adequately funded and voluntary funding is actively pursued for approved programme and capacitybuilding activities through the preparation of budgets that anticipate the needs of the Convention and its related instruments, and Parties are advised of the budget implications of decisions before them;
(ز) العمل على توافر التمويل الكافي لأعمال الأمانة مع العمل بنشاط على الحصول على التمويل الطوعي للبرنامج الذي تم اعتماده وأنشطة بناء القدرات وذلك عن طريق إعداد الميزانيات التي تتوقع احتياجات الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من اتفاقيات، كما سيراعى إبلاغ الأطراف بمدى تأثر الميزانية بالقرارات المعروضة عليهم؛

(c) Participation of Governments and observers in meetings of the Convention and its related instruments is effectively managed through oversight of accreditation and registration of representatives; maintenance and continued development of contact databases; and issuance of invitations to funded participants; and
(د) إدارة عملية مشاركة الحكومات والمراقبين في اجتماعات الاتفاقية وما يتصل بها من اتفاقيات بطريقة فعالة وذلك عن طريق الأشراف على اعتماد وتسجيل الممثلين، وصيانة قواعد بيانات الاتصال والاستمرار في تطويرها، وإصدار الدعوات للمشاركين في التمويل؛
