(a) To respect and further implement the Global and AllInclusive Agreement;

The Brazilian delegation would therefore abstain from voting on the draft resolution, while noting that it drew attention to progress made on certain aspects of human rights, notably implementation of the Global and All-Inclusive Agreement.

The Advisory Committee and the Fifth Committee must work on the basis that elections would proceed as agreed in the Global and All-Inclusive Agreement on the Transition in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
ويجب أن تعمل اللجنة الاستشارية واللجنة الخامسة معا على أساس أن تجري الانتخابات على النحو المتفق عليه في الاتفاق الشامل والجامع المتعلق بالمرحلة الانتقالية في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية.

I also remind the Congolese leaders that they must abide by the electoral timetable, as any extension of the transition beyond the limits set by the Global and All-Inclusive Agreement would be unacceptable.
كما أذكّر الزعماء الكونغوليين بأن عليهم أن يلتزموا بالجدول الزمني للانتخابات، لأن أي تمديد للمرحلة الانتقالية إلى ما بعد المواعيد المحددة في الاتفاق الشامل والجامع لن يكون مقبولا.

They stressed, however, that any discussion on the way forward should be guided by the present electoral time line, as well as by the principles of the Global and All-Inclusive Agreement.

As you are aware, under the Global and All-Inclusive Agreement concluded in December 2002, national elections are to be held in the Democratic Republic of Congo by the end of June 2006.
