A brief presentation was delivered on behalf of the UNEP International Environmental Technology Centre, outlining the objectives of the Global Platform on Waste Management, which had been launched at the extraordinary meetings of the Conferences of the parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions.

The review will take into account progress made by Parties, the secretariats, UNEP, FAO and other institutions mentioned in the synergies decisions towards the implementation of those decisions and relevant decisions emerging from the extraordinary meetings of the Conferences of the Parties.
8 - وسيأخذ الاستعراض في الاعتبار ما أحرزته الأطراف والأمانات وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة ومنظمة الأغذية والزراعة ومؤسسات أخرى ذكرت في مقررات أوجه التآزر من تقدم باتجاه تنفيذ هذه المقررات والقرارات ذات الصلة التي صدرت عن الاجتماعات الاستثنائية لمؤتمرات الأطراف.
