By flagrantly violating Security Council resolution 713 (1991) on the arms embargo in the territory of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and resolutions 781 (1992) and 816 (1993) on " no-fly zones " , the Bosnian Muslim side, supported by certain members of the international community, ignores the decisions of the world Organization.

Both of those authoritative resolutions unequivocally stipulated that the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) could not automatically continue the membership of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the United Nations, and that the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) should apply for membership in the United Nations.

It ignores the fact that the Security Council and the General Assembly have stated that the State formerly known as the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia had ceased to exist, that the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) could not continue automatically the membership of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the United Nations and that it should apply for membership in the United Nations.
