وإذ يضع في اعتباره أن الإفلات من العقاب على الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف التي تستهدف الصحفيين يشكل أحد التحدِّيات الرئيسية أمام تعزيز حماية الصحفيين، ويشدد على أن ضمان المساءلة عن الجرائم المرتكبة بحق الصحفيين هو عنصر أساسي في منع حدوث اعتداءات عليهم في المستقبل،

In the resolution, the Council expressed its concern regarding ongoing violations of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, condemned in the strongest terms all attacks and violence against journalists, and stressed the need to ensure greater protection for all media professionals and journalistic sources.
وأعرب المجلس في ذلك القرار عن قلقه من استمرار انتهاكات الحق في حرية الرأي والتعبير، وأدان بأقوى العبارات جميع الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف ضد الصحفيين، وشدّد على ضرورة ضمان حماية أكبر لجميع الإعلاميين والمصادر الصحفية.

In that resolution, the Council expressed, inter alia, its concern regarding ongoing violations of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, condemned in the strongest terms all attacks and violence against journalists and stressed the need to ensure greater protection for all media professionals and for journalistic sources.
وأعرب المجلس في هذا القرار عن أمور من بينها قلقه لاستمرار حدوث انتهاكات للحق في حرية الرأي والتعبير، وأدان بأشد العبارات جميع الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف ضد الصحفيين، وأكد ضرورة ضمان قدر أكبر من الحماية لجميع العاملين في وسائط الإعلام وللمصادر الصحفية.

(f) Capacity-building is needed for the judicial institutions responsible for prosecuting the perpetrators of abuse and violence against women and girls, so as to foster independent thinking by members of the judiciary;
(و) تعزيز قدرات المؤسسات القضائية المكلفة بملاحقة مرتكبي الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف ضد النساء والفتيات بما يكفل استقلال القضاة؛

2. Condemns unequivocally all attacks and violence against journalists and media workers, such as torture, extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances and arbitrary detention, as well as intimidation and harassment in both conflict and non conflict situations;
2 - تدين بشكل قاطع جميع الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف الموجهة ضد الصحفيين والعاملين في وسائط الإعلام، من قبيل التعذيب وحالات الإعدام خارج نطاق القضاء وحالات الاختفاء القسري والاحتجاز التعسفي، وكذلك أعمال الترهيب والمضايقة سواء في حالات النزاع أو في غير حالات النزاع؛

1. Condemns unequivocally all attacks and violence against journalists and media workers, such as torture, extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, arbitrary arrest and arbitrary detention, as well as intimidation and harassment in both conflict and non-conflict situations;
1 - تدين بشكل قاطع جميع الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف الموجهة ضد الصحفيين والعاملين في وسائط الإعلام، من قبيل التعذيب وحالات الإعدام خارج نطاق القضاء وحالات الاختفاء القسري والاعتقال التعسفي والاحتجاز التعسفي، وكذلك أعمال الترهيب والمضايقة سواء في حالات النزاع أو في غير حالات النزاع؛

2. Strongly condemns the prevailing impunity for attacks and violence against journalists, and expresses grave concern that the vast majority of these crimes go unpunished, which in turn contributes to the recurrence of these crimes;
2 - تدين بقوة انتشار الإفلات من العقاب على الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف الموجهة ضد الصحفيين وتعرب عن قلقها البالغ لإفلات الغالبية العظمى من مرتكبي هذه الجرائم من العقاب، ما يسهم بدوره في تكرار هذه الجرائم؛

9. Calls upon States to cooperate with relevant United Nations entities, in particular the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, as well as international and regional human rights mechanisms and to share information on a voluntary basis on the status of investigations into attacks and violence against journalists;
9 - تهيب بالدول أن تتعاون مع كيانات الأمم المتحدة المعنية، ولا سيما منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة، وكذلك آليات حقوق الإنسان الدولية والإقليمية وتتبادل المعلومات على أساس طوعي بشأن حالة التحقيقات في الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف الموجهة ضد الصحفيين؛

(a) There are no sufficient facilities to effectively attend to women and children victims of abuse and violence - such as separate, specific rooms for interviewing victims/witnesses and children's courts, inadequate facilities to enable police Officers manning the desks to conduct physical identification of evidence from alleged perpetrators.
(أ) عدم كفاية مرافق تقديم الرعاية الفعالة للنساء والأطفال ضحايا الاعتداءات وأعمال العنف - مثل الغرف المنفصلة، والغرف الخاصة لإجراء المقابلات مع الضحيا/الشهود، ومحاكم الأطفال، وعدم كفاية المرافق اللازمة لتمكين موظفي الشرطة من القيام بإجراءات إثبات إدانة المجرمين المزعومين.
