82. Naval forces from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States of America have so far participated in the operations of the multinational interception force.

To encourage the newly established dialogue further, it was agreed that a direct channel of communication between the multinational interception force and the Committee's secretariat could be established, permitting instant verification of authorizations issued by the Committee, as well as keeping the Committee routinely informed of cases of diversion of vessels.

88. The Committee welcomed the establishment of the proposed onshore system of examination and verification of cargo at the port of Aqaba to be conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the multinational interception force.

The Committee considered this appeal at its 228th meeting, held on 19 December 2001, and decided to request the multinational interception Force to provide the Committee with information regarding ships seized and diverted in the Gulf.

86. As a substitute for the multinational interception force's ship inspection operation near the port of Aqaba, the Committee was informed by Jordan in June 1994 that the Government was discussing with Lloyd's Register the possibility of concluding an agreement that would ensure the continuing strict implementation of the sanctions regime established under resolution 661 (1990).
٨٦ - كبديل عن عملية تفتيش السفن التي تضطلع بها قوة الاعتراض المتعددة الجنسيات بالقرب من ميناء العقبة، قام اﻷردن بإبلاغ اللجنة في حزيران/يونيه ٤٩٩١ أن الحكومة تناقش مع سجل اللويد إمكانية إبرام اتفاق من شأنه كفالة مواصلة التنفيذ الصارم لنظام الجزاءات المنشأ بموجب القرار ١٦٦ )٠٩٩١(.

The Committee received a briefing by the United Nations Treasurer at its 228th meeting, on 19 December 2001, regarding proceeds from the sale of illegal Iraqi oil cargoes; the Treasurer drew the Committee's attention to the discrepancy between the number of ships seized by the multinational interception Force and the number of deposits made to the United Nations 778 Escrow Account, where the proceeds of such oil sales must be deposited.
22 - وفي الجلسة 228، المعقودة في 19 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001، تلقت اللجنة إفادة من أمين خزانة الأمم المتحدة بشأن العائدات من مبيعات شحنات النفط العراقي غير المشروعة؛ ووجه أمين الخزانة انتباه اللجنة إلى وجود تضارب بين عدد السفن التي صادرتها قوة الاعتراض المتعددة الجنسيات وعدد الإيداعات في حساب الضمان التابع للأمم المتحدة المنشأ بموجب القرار 778 والذي يتعين أن تودع فيه عائدات هذه المبيعات من النفط.

93. To ensure the effective implementation of the sanctions regime, the Committee expects to receive from States, international and intergovernmental organizations, and other monitoring and enforcement arrangements authorized by the Security Council and the Committee (including the Special Commission, the multinational interception force and Lloyd's Register) information relating to any violations or alleged violations of the sanctions regime.
٩٣ - لكفالة التنفيذ الفعال لنظام الجزاءات، تتوقع اللجنة أن تتلقى من الدول والمنظمات الدولية والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية وغيرها من ترتيبات الرصد واﻹنفاذ التي أذن لها مجلس اﻷمن واللجنة )ومنها اللجنة الخاصة وقوة الاعتراض المتعددة الجنسيات وسجل اللويدز(، معلومات تتعلق بأية انتهاكات أو انتهاكات مزعومة لنظام الجزاءات.
