The Liberian National Transitional Government was given the mandate to extend its authority throughout the country, to repatriate and resettle refugees from abroad, and to conduct free and fair elections within six months.
وقد أعطى للحكومة الانتقالية الوطنية الليبرية ولاية بسط سلطتهـــا على أنحاء البلاد كافة، وإعادة اللاجئين من الخارج وإعادة توطينهم، وإجراء انتخابات حرة ونزيهة في غضون ستة أشهر.

The Liberian National Transitional Government was inducted into office on 7 March 1994, and the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General gave assurances that disarmament would commence simultaneously.
وقد تولت الحكومة الانتقالية الوطنية الليبرية السلطة في ٧ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٤، وأعطى الممثل الخاص لﻷمين العام لﻷمم المتحدة تأكيدات بأن نزع السلاح سيبدأ في نفس الوقت.

As regards Liberia, Uganda was encouraged by steps taken to begin the implementation of the Cotonou Agreement, namely the establishment of the Liberia National Transitional Government and the initiation of the process of disarmament and demobilization of various combatants.
