In its resolution 1998/17, on the regulation of explosives for the purpose of crime prevention and public health and safety, the Economic and Social Council decided that a study should be initiated on illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in explosives by criminals and on the abuse and misuse of explosives for criminal purposes.
وفي القرار ٨٩٩١/٧١ ، المتعلق بتنظيم تداول المتفجرات بغرض منع الجريمة وحماية الصحة والسلامة العامة ، قرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي البدء بدراسة حول ما يقوم به المجرمون من صنع غير مشروع للمتفجرات واتجار غير مشروع بها وحول اساءة استعمال المتفجرات في أغراض اجرامية .
