He called for an immediate solution to the disadvantageous situation of the least developed countries in the multilateral trading system, saying that all exports from least developed countries should be accorded duty-free treatment, as recommended in the ministerial communiqué of the high-level segment of the Economic and Social Council in 1998.

115. The ministerial communiqué of the 1998 high-level segment of the Economic and Social Council had expressed deep concern at the gradual marginalization of least developed countries as a result of the processes of globalization and liberalization.
١١٥ - وقد أعرب البلاغ الوزاري الصادر عن الجزء الرفيع المستوى من اجتماعات المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي خلال العام الحالي، عن الانشغال العميق إزاء التهميش التدريجي للبلدان اﻷقل نموا كأثر من آثار العولمة وتحرير التجارة.

The Economic and Social Council adopted agreed conclusions 1997/1 following its 1997 high-level segment and a ministerial communiqué in 1998.
اعتمد المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي الاستنتاجات المتفق عليها ١٩٩٧/١ إثر عقده الجزء الرفيع المستوى من دورته لعام ١٩٩٧ وإصداره البلاغ الوزاري في عام ١٩٩٨.

60. The commemorations of the key refugee and statelessness instruments in 2011 saw the international community renew its commitment to persons in need of international protection, including through the ministerial communiqué and State pledges at the Ministerial Intergovernmental Event in December 2011.
87- وقد شهدت الاحتفالات بالصكوك الرئيسية المتعلقة باللاجئين وعديمي الجنسية في عام 2011 تجديد المجتمع الدولي لالتزامه تجاه الأشخاص المحتاجين للحماية الدولية، بوسائل منها البلاغ الوزاري وتعهدات الدول في الاجتماع الحكومي الدولي الوزاري في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011.

The Assembly, in its resolution 53/169 of 15 December 1998 on the role of the United Nations in promoting development in the context of globalization and interdependence, referred to the ministerial communiqué and requested the Secretary-General to report to the Assembly on its implementation .
